Convicted child abuser Anthony Edwin Marsh will spend the rest of his life in prison.
Marsh, 67, was sentenced Thursday to multiple consecutive sentences for crimes Broomfield District Court Judge Chris Melonakis called “indescribably cruel.”
The Broomfield resident will serve three consecutive sentences of 24 years to life for sexual assault on a child by one in a position of trust. Concurrent to those terms, he will serve two sentences of 24 years to life for sexual assault on a child with a pattern of abuse.
Marsh will begin those sentences only after he serves a 24-year-to-life sentence for inducement to child prostitution followed by a 12-year sentence for possession of child pornography.
Marsh was stoic as Melonakis read his sentences and castigated him for his lack of remorse or insight into the consequences his crimes had on his victims. Melonakis repeatedly called the case “the most egregious case I have ever tried as a judge.” (more…)
